Fruit, vegetable and flower market
Public area
- Year: 2016
- Type of project: conceptual study
- Location: Split
The initiative to design the southern part of the city’s main outdoor market came from the concessionaire, who felt that this southern part of the market is a critical point in the aesthetic and functional sense. The space looked very neglected and served, and still serves today, as a space for storing crates as well as surplus goods sold at roadside stalls. A conceptual study was commissioned in which the possible look of that part of the market was elaborated after its new design and a presentation to the city administration was agreed upon.
In the meantime, there was a change of the city authorities and the conceptual study remains only a drawing on paper.
